How to Play Video File?

You may use the menu command {Play VCD or Play File...} to open one or more movie files, or directly double click the file in the Folder bar to play movie; or drag the file (or folder) in the Folder Bar to the Movie Preview Area or Play List Area to play movie. Installation of K-Lite Codec Pack plug-in set will enable you to play all video and audio files (including DVD, OGG, and other video files).

How to Play Picture File?

Select the file folder of the picture to play first, press the button {Find} to add the picture to be played, press the button {Preview} to play. The button {Full} is used for full-screen play for the pictures. You may select the play sequence, stretch, and change method mode when play the pictures. The hotkey ?Ctrl+S? is used for playing picture file in the Image Preview area. The picture file played in this window can be sent to the simulated video Webcam.

How to Convert Video File to AVI?

First input the name of video file (support drag operation), and select the audio and video compressor (selecting Windows Media Audio V2 or MPEG Layer-3 for the audio encoder and selecting DivX, XviD, etc. for the video encoder. Note: if the encoder operates improperly, you may try other encoders). Video frame rate may be selected manually or automatically. The width of the file generated by compression = width * resize factor, height = height * resize factor. Some files may have more than one audio streams. You may select your desired audio stream. Parts to divide: cut the file into several parts at equal length.

How to Convert DVD to AVI?

First of all, use the tool {DVD Copy} to copy the VOB files to your harddisk (because generally, the VOB file of protected DVD is stored in the DVD disk after encryption and cannot be played or converted directly). Before copying the file, first press the button {Init DVD}, and select the IFO file to be processed (select the largest IFO file), then check the desired title, audio track, and subtitle. Use the tool {Movie into AVI} to convert the VOB file in the harddisk into AVI after copying the file.

You will see three kinds of files in the VIDOE_TS directory of DVD: .VOB, .IFO and .BUP. 

VOB file includes several streams jumbled together: video, audio, and subtitle. Video stream is in MPEG-2 format; audio stream may be AC3, Linear PCM, MPEG2 multi-track or MPEG1 layer 2 double-track audio. AC3 is basically a standard format; but MPEG-2 multi-track can be seen in few disks. 

IFO file provides very important navigation information for player. For instance, where a section begins? Where is a specific audio stream or video stream, etc. How to determine the IFO file of main movie in the disk? Generally, the largest IFO file is what you need. It provides the main program chains of the movie (PGC).  

The first two digits in VTS_01_0.IFO file name indicate the numbers of titles. Apparently, there are only 99 titles at the utmost. There are 10 VOB files under each title. In which, VTS_XX-0.VOB is the menu of the title included in the first VOB file. Each title has at least two VOB files. One is menu and another is the main part including the program.  

BUP file is the partial backup of IFO file and is not encrypted.

How to Generate the Screen Shot of Video File?

First input the name of video file (or the folder of the video file, support drag operation) first, select saveas type, border type, and generation engine, and then press go. Random mode: The picture screen shots generated each time will be different. In random mode, you can generate more picture screen shots until to your satisfaction.

How to Send Video Frame (or Picture) to Simulated Video Webcam When Play Back?

After check the button Webcam, you can send the video frames to the simulated video Webcam while playing. This function will consume considerable system resources. If you only play file, it is unnecessary to check the button Webcam.

How to Extract Picture When Play Back?

Extract picture by pressing the hotkey F4. The picture extracted will be automatically stored in the working folder. 

How to Generate Video Clip?

First play the file to be clipped, select the starting point (F5) and end point (F6) of the segment, press the hotkey F7 to add the segment to the Clip List; repeat the above operation to add more desired clipping segments. Finally press the hotkey F8 to store the clipped segments. In case of MPEG1 video file, it can be directly converted into MPEG1 file without decoding. In this way, the conversion will be fast without any loss of image quality. Other file formats can be converted into AVI format. Before conversion, you should select the audio and video compressor (selecting Windows Media Audio V2 or MPEG Layer-3 for the audio encoder and selecting DivX, XviD, etc. for the video encoder. First drag one or more video files to be joined into the Play List, press the hotkey Ctrl+J to join video files.

How to Capture or Record Window Screen?

VCDCut Pro support for window screen capture or record. You can save captured frames as BMP or AVI, or send frames to self-contained simulated video Webcam. Click on the left animate icon to select a window. If your captured image is black, in order to capture DirectX video frames, please disabling hardware acceleration (Desktop properties settings Advanced Troubleshoot). In order to record clear voice you may need to reduce the volume of the recording device you are using and you can use Recording Control to set your recording device.
